Chloë Forsyth

Chloë moved to the Wenatchee Valley four years ago. She loves the beauty, support of the arts and sense of community that this valley offers.

Chloë has been singing since she was five years old. She starting in church, then discovered musical theater, and opera. Her first big role was Gretl in The Sound of Music. She has been involved with theater continuously since that time. Chloë played Brigitta in The Sound of Music with Leavenworth Summer Theater in 2012 and 2014, has been performing with Stage Kids and StageTeens since 2014, and has been in the Wenatchee High School musical productions of White Christmas "Judy Haynes" and The Little Mermaid "Scuttle". She has just become a member of the International Thespian Society.

At 12 years old, Chloë sang with The Seattle Opera Youth Choir and the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. She is in the Wenatchee High School Bel Canto Choir,  which has been chosen to compete at state this year.

Since moving here, Chloë has become involved in this wonderful community. She has been a volunteer at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society for 4 years, and her volunteer work with Stage Kids has turned into employment as a class assistant. She has helped with fundraisers for mission trips, Children's Hospital and has helped with Clothes For The Classroom. She has volunteered at Lewis and Clark Elementary assisting with theater class and helping kids with reading, and has used her acting skills to help with the 24 Hour Justice Project. Chloë spent two years with The Wenatchee Youth Circus where she performed aerial acts, tumbling and was a ring mistress. Recently, she competed and received enough points to go to State as Distinguished Young Woman of Wenatchee Valley.

Chloë studied voice with Leslie McEwen for over a year.  She blossomed while under Leslie's instruction.  Leslie's passing was very difficult for Chloe.  Recently, she has taken voice from Ron Bermingham and Valerie Williams.  Chloë also attended The Julian Patrick Vocal Camp in 2016 and 2017.  There she learned so much about different genres of music from some very talented and amazing instructors.

Chloë is currently in Running Start at Wenatchee Valley College. She plans to attend a college with an outstanding music program so that she can continue to hone her voice.  She is extremely grateful for this opportunity and to all who have supported this competition. She would also like to thank her family, friends and teachers for all their support. To Chloe, music is truly a gift.
