OUTREACH & YOUTH PROGRAMS
CONCERT PRELUDES
Presented prior to each Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra concert, the Prelude features Music Director Nikolas Caoile in an entertaining and informative talk about the works being performed. Designed to help draw audiences into the performances, these pre concert lectures also include historical backgrounds on the composers and the periods in which they lived. Concert Preludes begin one hour prior to each concert and are complimentary for concert ticket holders.
SCHOOL OUTREACH
The symphony has partnered with the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee (PAC) to present "Meet the Symphony", an education outreach concert to be held on January 12, 2012 at 10:00 am. School teachers may inquire at the PAC regarding concert or visit www.pacwen.org.
Music Director Nikolas Caoile spends most concert weekend Fridays visiting local music classrooms, educating and working with students.
WVSO PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WENATCHEE VALLEY COLLEGE
Did you know that the WVSO and the Wenatchee Valley College Music Department share a partnership which allows college students to join the symphony and receive college credits for their participation? This partnership provides college students large ensemble opportunities which they may not otherwise receive.
