1st Place - 2019 Angela Schuster Svendsen Young Musician Competition
Stephanie Strong is a sophomore at Liberty Bell High School. She started playing the cello in third grade and has been playing for seven years. She has studied with Pam Hunt of Cascadia Pipestone School of Music in Twisp and recently became a student of John Michel at Central Washington University.
Stephanie has played in the Pipestone Orchestra for five years. She is a member of the Papillon String Quartet and plays in her high school jazz band. She won the Christine Cherrington Music Scholarship in 2016. She plans to attend Central Washington University. In addition to music, Stephanie enjoys photography and art.
Stephanie is honored to have been selected as winner of the 2019 Angela Schuster Svendsen memorial Young Musician Competition.
